Elaine Paige -- Susan Boyle's Idol Sings "I Dreamed a Dream"

Here is a video of Susan Boyle's inspiration; Elaine Paige. While Elaine's version is beautiful, I'm going to have to go with Susan's as my favorite version!

Susan Boyle and Elaine Paige, both amazing singers.

  4. Susan is so much better than Elaine! I'm sorry, Elaine, but, she has a much better voice, even untrained! Her voice has much more passion and strength!

  6. The Elaine Page version to me represents much that is wrong in musicals nowadays: a lot of acting and high drama to hide the fact that your voice is overstretched. Nothing of the kind in Susan Boyle, she has a voice more powerfull and passionate. That being said, I would really love to hear Susan sing more "Cry me a river" like blues songs.

  7. i seriously think the susan's version is better! so far!

this version is good, but susan's version had some special huge power of voice that i can't explain, but freezes me. and i think her look is important to produce this sensation because when you see her, you Immediately think she is an old crazy lady, and you feel sad (but is a compassion sadness), but after you hear her extraordinary voice you feel so happy!
